Zoo Two

'Twas a beautiful day. Crisp. Cool. Nothing planned. SO we all went to the Dallas Zoo together...and we literally spent the day there! We rocked the zoo from 10:30 am to 3 pm!

We saw the dinosaur play again, saw all the dinosaurs, played in the creek/play area, went to the petting zoo, koalas, bug house, ate Popsicles, ate lunch,   and basically just had a wonderful day at the zoo!
It is so fun hanging out with you party animals.

Beach Trip 2015

Imagine it... the soft rolling sound of the warm waves tumbling into your ankles.

The warm sun beating on your neck.

The loving coos of a new baby.

The loud love of a family gathered: fun with cousins, grandparents, aunts, uncles.

Seeing dolphins and flying fish cresting in the water in front of you.

Chasing a dirt devil and then imitating it until you fall down.

Chasing crabs in the dark until you fall asleep on Daddy's back.

The smell of cookies you made with Daddy and Cousin Holden.

The touch of your Mimi's hands painting your nails and reading you a book.

The joy of hitting a ball pitched by your Pops with a baseball bat.

The success of flying a kite for the first time.

Resting easy in a giant hole you helped to dig.

The thrill of standing among a swarm of sea gulls.

That was the scene in August, as the Weinstein (and Helford) crew met in Galveston, Texas for our annual beach trip.

The two of you have grown so much since last year's beach trip:

Julia, you are now unafraid to go into the water...and picked up some new trips too.

Aidan, you are older and wiser and more able to roll with the waves that literally and figuratively knock at you.

You both are big kids now...and were amazed and in love with Molly, whom you met for the first time.

Your look-out on life continues to grow and evolve as you do. And it's so fun to be invited to the sand, salty beach party!

So many memories, and - in comparison- only a few photos to document them.

Life's a beach...but a beach trip is something even more special altogether.

We'll always have the beach... all of us.
