Aidan, today you are five years old!
A flurry of emotions, a force of nature, and snow flurries too!
Mommy, Julia, and I got to come to your school to participate in your celebration of life. We told a lovely story about you to all of your friends about how you came to be. More on that later.
But, when we looked outside after your celebration of life, it was SNOWING! What a treat to snow on your birthday! After an ice storm earlier in the week, a birthday snowstorm was unexpected and delightful! You and your friends and your sister got to go play in the snow!
When we got home, the snow continued, as did your birthday celebration!
A Robot! Just like you asked for!!!
While it got colder outside, it got warmer inside, with candles, birthday hugs, and so much gentle, joyous appreciation from you. You've only been waiting for your birthday for...like 364 days!
Julia was interested in one of your gifts: "It's a PINANO!"
Both Robots finally got to meet!
Then, we bundled up and ventured out for a snowy birthday adventure! Snow-writing, Snow-balls, snow-piles, eating icicles, snow angels, bundled-up blanket wagon rides, cold hands, snow-jumps, and a nice, warm home waiting for us when we got back!
..when we returned, it was time to warm up by the fire...and luckily- thanks to you Aidan- we had 5 candles to keep us warm!
You are an adventurous, brave, emotional, musical, creative, amazing young man, Aidan. And you are so very cool that if just had to snow on your birthday!
