First Day of School 2025!

...and then there was MIDDLE SCHOOL!

Through all the orientation meetings, mom and I have fallen in love with both of your middle school programs, and we are so enthusiastically at peace, assured that these programs are 100000%  the right places for both you.

We know you will be academically challenged, rise to the moment, flourish socially and mentally.

Of course, there will be pain and sunny days and rain, to quote Ben Folds,  but we know that the foundation of your family,  your internal fortitude and strengths, and the strength - and perfect fit- of these programs will help you SHINE through Middle School!

We're so proud of both of you!

Happy faces headed to Middle School places!

You both looks so grown up! and in many ways, you are... you're definitely adolescents!

The Kids' First Concert! Weird Al Yankovic!

Well, you've been asking us to take you to a concert - your firs real concert- for ages!  And boy oh boy did we deliver in a WEIRD way!

We've been singing his songs together since you could talk. He's brought us laughter, giggles, and together.

Mom and I made you a mix CD of some of his greatest hits and you guys memorized it from top to bottom.

We have history with him too... Rebekka, Mimi, Pops, and I listened to "Dare to be Stupid" on cassette on road trips.

I introduced Mom to him when we started dating; and we actually saw him in concert once before when you were babies.

But no... it's your time to shine in the glow of this legend in person... and... it... was... AMAZING!

That's right... the Weinsteins put on our Hawaiian shirts and went wild for Weird Al!!!!

We sang, we screamed, we did our phone flashlights, we sang in harmony, we got "fat", we committed some "word crimes", the force was with us, and we definitely got "white and nerdy!"

It was a hilarious, engaging, night that dared to be stupid... and I'll never forget your first concert!

What a night!
