Our next adventure in London started out on a sunny day and only got brighter from there.
We headed out on a walk, and then on the Underground, and then to Camden Market!
We met up with the family at the Camden Lock...
We hopped aboard a boat on the canal, went into the Lock (a canal elevator).
... and took a tour of London all the way up to Little Venice and back on the canals!
We saw the zoo (from the back), saw some expensive houses, and learned some interesting facts...like: these canals used to be chiefly used to get waste out of the city (aka...they were poop boats). The canals all have little trails along side of them because...horses used to pull the boats along...except on the tiny little teeny tunnels...for which the boat workers would climb to the top of the boat, lay down on their backs, and walk on the ceiling to get their boats through the tunnels! <end of interesting facts.>
After the boat rides up and back down the canal, we went shopping and eating in the world famous Camden Market...which is like Diagon Alley full of book stores, weird stores, clothing, orange juice, magic shops, comic shops, pocket watch sellers and more. Julia and Molly got matching dresses. Kobi helped Aidan find the perfect Racoon Mario doll. It was a maze of stuff to buy!
After a long day, we headed back on the Tube to our stop and found our local pub...the ARNOS ARMS. I think this was your first time in a pub. And y'all loved it- cool foosball, coloring sheets, yummy food, great company...

It was on or around this day that y'all discovered- or at least really decided that you LOVED- Bombie-- and old WWII bomb crater -turned-open-green space. Many sparkling, golden, pitstops on the walk to and fro the Arnos Grove Tube station were spent with the three of y'all playing your hearts out here.
Long live Bombie!
Long live family!
Long live Cider!
