Animal Farm

We love Animals. We love your school. We love summer.

So, over the summer, for one hot week, the Weinsteins volunteered to go up to White Rock Montessori to let the chickens stretch their legs, feed the goats, water the ducks and vegetables, collect any eggs, and have a meltingly good time in the summer sun together as a family.

The results were epic.

We were running around like chickens with our heads still on...with actual chickens!

The ducks wouldn't get out of the chicken coup. The chickens go into their food can and we couldn't get them out. The baby chicks wandered off and we were playing hide and seek with them. The goats- Sally and Isis- were eating everything.

We gathered eggs, we shepherded the flock, we took care of your school, and we made it look good!

Disclosure. I was only able to do this with you guys for two days. You and Mommy did it for 5, I think! I'm so proud! Maybe you'll be farmers when you grow up!

A Pops Day Afternoon

Julia, Aidan, you are spoiled. With love. That's a good thing! All you need is love!

But it's not just love from me and Mommy that fills your cups. You're fortunate enough to have all four grandparents here in town, and some days you get to share adventures with them!

On one such day in December, we had a Pops Day Afternoon.

You like to tell Pops that his name is Herbert, you call him a stinker, you steal his hat. You give him kisses and run to his arms. You joke around with him and wrestle. You listen to him. You like to show him what you can do (climb, monkey bar, swing, run).

We flew the rocketship, played chase, watched the ducks, spun, played hide and seek, put leaves on pops' head.

We had fun.

And, since Pops is my Dad, all of that makes me very, very happy indeed.
