Thin Mints, Samoas, and Julia- oh my!

Julia, this year you joined the local Daisies group of Girl Scouts at school. You've been having an amazing time meeting with the group monthly. So far, one of your favorite things was making care packages for the homeless, and then handing them out. It was amazing to see how much you dove in with both feet on this philanthropic mission!

This winter you got to do something else sweet with your troop; and although it isn't as charitable, it certainly made a lot of people happy. And you loved every minute of it!

That's right...it's Girl Scout Cookie time!

From working the booth with your fellow scouts...

To selling door-to-door (with some help from your brother and father)....

To selling to family...

To tabulating the total sales (you did some amazing mathwork!), writing thank you notes, and delivering the cookies via wagon on a cold February day...you were all-in on selling cookies!

And it was such a sweet sight to see...and thankfully, it left a good taste in all of our mouths 2 boxes of samoas, one tagalong, and one s'mores that went by all too quickly...

LEMONADE!

How to make a make-up salon in two easy steps, by Julia, who woke up on a Sunday morning with this idea.

Step 1. Make a sign that says "Kate's Make up Salon" and tape it to the front door; set up all make-up in inviting fashion in your room. Tape sign to front door.

Step 2. Await customers; when no customers appear within reasonable time frame, pivot...pivot immediately!

How to make a Lemonade Stand in a few easy steps, by Julia.

Step 1. Make a sign:

Step 2. Get an eager employee/customer:

Step 3. Ask Mommy to buy ingredients at the grocery store.

Step 4. Load up picnic basket with supplies and go to a place where thirsty people will be sure to be: Yaya and Baba's house.

Step 5. Set up shop.

Step 6. Smile, and watch the customers come flooding right in:

Step 7. Reuse cups with out washing them, don't wash your hands, redistribute money to future customers so they can buy some lemonade, drink a lot of your own product.

Step 8. HAVE FUN!

Julia, you have the best ideas and the best enthusiasm. You are a little entrepreneur... and a lady with a PLAN. You're a DOER...you get stuff done...and make people happy...and with you, lemonade or not...Life is so so SWEET!
