Nuts in November

Man oh Man...so many memories...so little time...between the candy-driven costumed tomfoolery of Halloween and Thanksgiving, we had a lot of low-key and high-key (and some off-key) fun in the month of November.

I love your creativity, your ability to push through boredom into an area of pure creativity and fun...

Spy games

I love your artwork, your super spy task force, your crafts, your outdoor play, your dancing. I love playing outside with you, playing games, seeing movies. I love taking you to birthday parties and watching the insanity and watching you test your limits and try new things with friends.

November 2018 may be long-since over as I write this, and a lot of these little memories may already be out in the ether, but I have some photographic evidence of the fun we had, the silliness that ensued, and of your amazing growth.

I love you both. To November and back again. Is that deep or crappy? Either way...I love you so much.

We had lots of artwork...

Julia's rainbow kitty unicorn mermaids.

... abstract color pieces by Aidan...

...and a lot more!

There was Puppy LOVE...

Writing practice...

Birthday PARTIES galore...

Picking (and pickling) Peppers... and flowers...

May your lives always provide as much fun- if not more- than a lazy, crazy, fun, and sweet early November.

Rainy Day Fun

What do you do on a rainy weekend when Mama has class?

Well, you hang out with Daddy and do fun rainy-day activities! Duh!

You bring an umbrella...

You play inside...

You...play outside...without an umbrella...in the rain!

I used to get cabin fever really bad. But when I'm stuck with the both of you, I really don't feel stuck inside at all!

We braved the storm for dinner and dessert:

The next morning we read Bone. A lot of Bone. And then you two PLAYED Bone. Featured here are Lucius and Bartleby? Julia was Thorn, of course!

We played board games and drew...

We went to a hardware store to do a fun halloween craft and eat free hot dogs!

And then...when the rain slowed to a trickle, but a river still flowed down the hill, we got out a wooden boat, and sailed it to the bottom of the street, where we ran into the Long sisters, and had a splashing good time!

Then...you guys dried off, and we carved our Halloween pumpkins!

Finally, Mama met us and we had dinner with the friends. And one of our first official kids tables:

See? A little rain isn't that bad!
