The zoo never gets old....but sometimes it gets Jurassic!
After a month of rainy days and rainy weekends, we took advantage a beautiful day and went to the Dallas Zoo to eat popsicles...
Look at cool animals...
...and see some DINOSAURS!*
*animatronic, statues, puppets, and water-spraying fake dino heads.
We saw a cool puppet show featuring some very real-looking and real-acting dinosaurs. You two were enthralled! Aidan, you wanted so desperately to go up on stage, but were never called on unfortunately.
Fortunately, we ALL got to go backstage and see the dinosaurs after the show.
Julia, you were not a fan. You were still, silent, and wanted nothing to do with the dinosaurs.
The two of you got to hold one of the baby dinosaurs. But since you didn't support the head, Julia, the baby dinosaur's "head fell off" (more like fell backwards), but you guys thought it was hilarious! (which it was).
As we approached the larger dinosaurs, Julia got further and further away, and more and more quiet. But, the second we left, you said "I want to do it again!"
Aidan, you wanted EVERYTHING to do with the dinosaurs; you scratched their heads, stuck your hand in their mouths, petted them, examined them. Intrepid!
We even got to go on a super cool dinosaur Train ride!
And we pretended to be scared of the dinos. A gag which never gets old!
Aidan, like I said, you were enthralled. You stood and watched the T-Rex for 25 minutes, asking him questions ("why aren't you roaring? are you scared? are you going to roar?")
I can't help myself. Forgive me for what I'm about to say. We had a dino-mite time!
