Julia Sekina...10 years old... it's hard to believe you're only 10, and at the same time, the years have gone by all too quickly. You are an amazing young woman: you are kind, silly, brave, talented, brilliant, humble, generous, feisty, fierce, and just an all-around cool person!
Every night before bed you yell to your brother "I'm sorry if I was mean to you today." You and I do our night-time ritual (i love you, you, you, unicorn. tootsie roll tootsie roll- let me see that tootsie roll. funnel cake funnel cake let me eat that funnel cake). You have stars in your eyes and even though you are maturing daily and probably more of a "tween" than not, you are so wonderfully bright-eyed and sweet. You've started 'raiding (with permission)' my closet to wear my old (vintage? cool?) t-shirts; you have a million business ideas and make inventory for them left and right...but really i think you just love making things. You're way into slime, and crochet, and bracelets and rings. Lately you've gotten into beauty products like face scrubs. You love to sing and love being in musicals. You're way into the zodiac- rising signs, setting signs, birthstones, etc. You have an infectious laugh. You cannot burp, and your brother's ability to do so on command makes you giggle like no other. Julia has a plan.
We will cherish this time with you forever; just as we have cherished every day of the past 10 years!
Your birthday fell over fall break this year, so you got to spread out the celebration: first with family, then with fall break trips to Tyler State Park and Great Wolf Lodge, then with a sleepover party with three of your closest buddies (followed by a bounce house water fun day with your friends and Aidan too).
