Two road-trips, two destinations, two banged up noses, two awesome Thanksgivings!
First, we packed up and headed to Sulphur Springs for a very Powell/Roomiani/Cantrell Thanksgiving at the Boesel Ranch (the Fire Truck place!).
Then it was time to gather and eat with Gigi, Yaya, Aunt Sham, Aunt Chrissy, Pa, Uncle Joe, Cousin Jenny and Keith, and the whole fam!
And then...of course...you had to play on Werner's Old Fire Truck...covered in spiders...in the rain!
It was a lovely time, and it is so fun to see you two bonding with Kaelyn.
The next day, we hit the road again...and this time headed down to Houston.
You both wanted to draw and color in the car, which gave some cool results!
Aidan, you wowed us with your Ninjalinos (baby ninjas).
And Julia's Frozen powers were impressive as well!
We finally arrived in Sugarland at Uncle Dana's and Aunt Mendi's house and the water was nice and warm, so you all jumped right in with your cousins!
Then it was back to Houston for Thanksgiving part 2.5...
Oh yeah...remember when I mentioned that you and I had matching busted noses? Well...just before we left a block of wood fell from upon high and got me in the nose. Your mommy patched me up. Then, in Sulphur Springs at Gigi's house, you fought a table, Aidan. And the table won. But your black eye didn't show up for about two more days!
Super sweet father and son matching injuries!
But it didn't slow down the cousin fun at all!
| Don't mess around with blocks of wood, kids! |
Here we are...Matching Injuries!
Night time dance party!
and...goodbye kisses...and then back to the real world we went. Thanksgiving comes and goes, but you and your cousins will always be turkeys.
