Julia, one fine October afternoon on a Saturday some of your closest friends and a lot of your family gathered together to help celebrate your first birthday one more time!
You got pretty in pink and partied with your friends, Asher, Riley, Brady and Tyler, and -of course- your big brother!
You and your friends bounced all over the place!
There were some big people there too, including your uncles,
some grandparents,
your Aunt Sham,
some more 'aunties',
...and your godmother, Elsie! (that's right, we finally chose a godmother for you! but, really, you chose her...more on that later)
...and of course, your best friend in the entire universe:
There were hugs,
And screams...
Some pensive moments...
and lots of smiles!
We played some classic party games, like "take the hat off the grandpa,"
"Intermural ring toss,"
...and "bouncing ball pit."
some swinging,
And, then, of course, there was room for CAKE!
...some opted for marshmallows...
...but your cake smash definitely took the cake, and your Aunt Kari got some wonderful images!
After you got to put on your second outfit for the day (the first one got a bit caked up), you got to open your presents!
Pops and Mimi made you this elephant:
It was a wonderful celebration with wonderful family and friends. You're an amazing little lady: funny, smart, daring and beautiful. And it was so great to be able to watch you celebrate with some of the many, many people who love you!
