We built some drums! Daddy and Julia

Julia, when you set your mind on something, it gets done! So one Saturday, you came up with an idea!

 "Let's build some drums!"

And you and I put our heads together and creativity on high alert...we used LOTS of boxes and tape and some beads and coins and a shampoo bottle and rubber band and ...holy smokes... we built some drums!

Your brother even joined in for the painting!

The end result was a HIT (get it?) for everyone!

\

I love being creative with you and this is certainly a cymbol of our love and creativity!

KISS

Julia, you said: 'Dad, me and Aidan want to put on a rock show upstairs. Can you paint our faces like Kiss? I want to be the kitty and Aidan wants to be the one with the long tongue!'

Heck yeah, I can!

And HECK YEAH to you and Aidan for wanting to ROCK AND ROLL all night and PARTY EVERY DAY!

You guys are amazing rock stars, amazing actors, amazing imagine-ers, and I hope you never lose that confidence to dream big and creatively express yourselves!

What happened next was some pure magic, made entirely by you!

Rock on, my children!

Rock ON FOREVER!

Instrumental Day

Just by luck, we saw that the Richardson Symphony Orchestra was having a children's concert featuring the works of Beethoven, Mozart, Tchaikovsy, oh and John Williams (STAR WARS!)

But...before the show, was the REAL show...an instrument 'petting zoo.'

And boy did you guys 'pet!'

The concert was great! You were very happy about Star Wars, considering we've been listening to the score in Mommy's car for like 6 weeks straight.

You both mostly sat still, and really enjoyed the music! The orchestra got a standing ovation. But the true applause goes to both of you for trying so many instruments and loving it.

Aidan, you said your favorite instrument was the trumpet or the bass.

Julia, you said your favorite instrument was the tuba...because it was the biggest, shiniest thing up there!

We hope you love music as much as we do. If you want to play an instrument or five, we will support you all the way. Music is very instrumental...and you guys are naturals!
