When that song comes on the radio... daddy is politely asked not to sing...despite his obvious talents. Or Olaf - aka snowloff- pajamas make a comeback in your PJ rotation, Aidan....
J: why are you wearing those pajamas, aidy?
A: because... I like frozen!
I think it's safe to say we all like frozen. And we like yogurt. And we like frozen yogurt, which we call 'hard yogurt.' And so when y'all's hard yogurt company - organic stonyfield's yo kids yogurt- announced on a wrapper that it was presenting Disney's Frozen on Ice and that we could get discounted tickets due to the enormous amount of yogurt you guys consume, it was a no brainier! Yes! Frozen...on ice!!! Let's go! Mommy had to explain, much to your dismay Julia, that you weren't really going to go ice skating with Elsa and Anna.
So, this afternoon, the two of you rode the train with mommy to the American Airlines center arena (your second trip on the train!) and I drove straight from work, and we all met for magical, frozen, ice skating, popcorn consuming, merchandise purchasing, really very cute and well done adventure.
Julia, you were curiously but quietly watching the whole show... Hardly uttering a word or an excited whoop or hollar.
Aidan, you were so excited that you could hardly contain yourself, screaming for goofy and mickey, asking where the characters went when the warren on the ice (where's Olaf? Where's Anna!'). Aidan you screamed, cheered, lit up your spinning light-up Olaf thing (which was later exchanged for a plus Olaf) and sang along.
Julia, you inquisitively watched from my lap, hugging your rapunzel tightly. At the end you said that 'yes' you liked it. Then you got all excited and started skipping all over the place. There was snow and fireworks, flips and a giant inflatable abominable snowman. There was popcorn and clapping and buzz and woody showed up too for some reason (aidan, you screamed loudly for buzz...but we all did too...he was really into it.)
But, the best thing of all, was the true love...
...and the warm hugs.
Update: Julia, this morning you told us that you had a dream...about Frozen on Ice. You said that the Snow Monster was skating without ice shoes. This is very observant! The Snow Monster was a remote control inflatable thingy (which made a bunch of kids- but not you!- cry)...but it didn't have skates. But, you also told us that in your dream, Baby Sawyer was in the show, but he also didn't have ice shoes. But all the kids did. And you did.
