Visit with Santa

Julia, Aidan, our visit with Santa this year was a memorable one, yet again.

Aidan, you were all ready to go ask Santa for all sorts of crazy things, including slippery shoes (aka roller skates).

Julia, you knew what you were going to ask Santa for: the same Frozen shoes that you had seen on a girl at the playground a few weeks before. You had only been tlaking about those Frozen shoes for weeks.

When we arrived, Aidan, you were in awe and ready to sit and talk to the man from the North Pole.

Julia, you wanted diddly squaty to do with Chris Cringle and started crying the second we approached him. So Mommy sat down with you.

Since the three of you were already on the scene, I gave my camera to the Elf and sat down too.

Aidan, you were dumbfounded when Santa asked you what you wanted for Christmas. You finally asked him for the Angry Bird toy you saw when you walked into the bookstore just moments before. With some prompting you finally remembered that you wanted Slippery Shoes.

Julia, despite your tears and post-crying breathing, you were still on target: "I....want...<sniff>...Frozen <sniff>...shoes...."

We'll see if Santa delivers!

But he definitely gave you guys candy canes right after we took our photos!

So that was a sweet, sticky mess.
