Every day is special. Every weekend is super special. Sometimes weekends just go perfectly: everyone's needs are met, everyone's healthy and healthily expressing and feeling emotions, we get to do something extraordinary and memorable.
This weekend was one of them.
We took a wagon ride through the neighborhood to the Van Dyke look out, and then explored the "dark woods" (an awesome nature trail). Aidan and I had checked this trail out long ago when you were just born, Julia. It's been a long time coming; and it was worth it!
Lot of fun running up and down the hill, exploring paths, choosing forks in the road, navigating our way back, exploring foliage and sticks and some red feathers...and entering dark tree-tunnels bravely!
We also got to do something special and memorable at Jump Street. Now that Julia's super four years old, she's old enough to go on the big kid elements...which means bigger trampolines and swinging into the foam pit...and that I get to jump with you!
We had face painting (courtesy of Mommy), costumes, and reading and parking
And then bubbles and cake and bikes to celebrate Yaya's birthday!
These are the things that bind us.
